On October 18, we will have the next in our Christian education series: St. Peter's Presents: What is a Diocese and Why Does it Matter? with Mr. Brendon Neilson, Executive Officer of the Diocese.
What is the diocese and why does it matter?” I came to Anglican life later in my journey and because of this in combination with the work I do and oversee in the synod office, I have a unique perspective on this question. My short answer will be that the diocese is a way that we organize people and money to do the work that God has given us. I look forward to unpacking this and discussing our common life.--Brendon Neilson
