Season of Creation: Living Water

Each year from September 1st to October 4th, the Christian family unites for a worldwide Season of Creation:  a celebration of prayer and action to protect our common planet home. It is a special season in which we celebrate God as Creator and acknowledge our work to love and care for the gift of all that is created, acknowledging that our well-being is interwoven with the well-being of the Earth. This year, the theme for the Season is "Living Water". Liz Williams and Pastor Liz, with the wonderful loan of cloth from Pat Eagar, will be creating visual images on and beside the altar and lectern. These images will change each Sunday. As well, each Sunday, every person will be given a piece of paper with specific instructions that match the images. You will be asked to write your concerns, hopes, actions, or thanksgivings, according to each week's theme, and place the papers in the offering plates as part of our offerings to God. They will be compiled and printed in the Wednesday Midweek News email to the parish. It is our hope that you will include them in your prayers throughout the rest of the week.
